Usage notes

Description

Optional usageNotes sections follow definitions elements and are intended to describe how terms are used. Information may relate to connotation, e.g. to highlight a controversial use (as the adjective terrorist), explain the gradability of adjectives (e.g. continuous > continual), signal synonymous variations (e.g. unfeasible/infeasible/not feasible), report "widespread" acceptability judgement (e.g. plurals of appendix), etc.

usageNotes <!ELEMENT usageNotes (labels?, wiki, xml?, txt?, parsed?)> Like definitions and etymologies, usageNotes are available in wiki, xml, txt and parsed versions.
