POS subsections

Description

POS sections may include subsections giving information about translations, lexical semantics and morphology relations.

XML structure

translations <!ELEMENT translations (trans)*> <!ELEMENT trans (#PCDATA)> <!ATTLIST trans lang CDATA #REQUIRED>

A translations element may have several trans children. The target language is given by the lang attribute of the trans element.
Example of translations for piste cyclable ‘bicycle path’:

subsection <!ELEMENT subsection (item)*> <!ATTLIST subsection type (morpho|semRel|relatedVocabulary|abbreviation|otherLanguageDerivatives|phrases|dialectalVariant|alternativeForm|paronyms|demonyms) #REQUIRED> <!ELEMENT item (#PCDATA)> <!ATTLIST item type (synonym|near-synonym|antonym|hyperonym|hyponym|meronym|holonym|troponym|compound|derivative|related) #IMPLIED>

subsection elements delimit notably lexical semantics and morphological relations. Other kind of information may be found in subsections ("related" vocabulary, abbreviations, etc.). The type attributes distinguishes these subsections: semRel (lexical semantics), morpho (morphology), etc.

The figure below depicts an excerpt of the lexSem subsection for communisme ‘communism’.
